Renegade
I was not sure where to put this so here will do I have just noticed that my car has had the door mirror painted That's no biggie but there is a bit of overspray on the black bracket below it.There is not much but I would like to remove it and am loathe to go near the car with thinners Any suggestions on how to remove it
AndySpak
Take the wing mirror off and dismantle. Mask off the paintwork you can't dismantle. Put some paint thinner/remover on a cotton wool ear bud thing. Go slowly and have patience. Thats what I'd do but there is probably a better way... lomoto
I'd carefully rub it with some thinners on a rag, but try a clay bar first if your averse to cellulose thinners

Ok clay bar it is first then I will do it tomorrow Clay Bar can be effective for removing overspray. Worked fine on my little beasty a few years back when every panel & window got a bit of overspray after someone was careless when painting.
