GreenSheener
Had my car a week and im sick of the CD's skipping already! lol, from reading the forums im guessing i need:- double din head unit, Halfrauds plug adapter for loom, micra speaker adapter, and a crazy PAC thing to make Steering wheel controls work. also possibly an ariel adapter now, if i get these, and with payment of Tea,Beer and/or money, would there be anyone willing to fit or help me fit these please? as although ive fitted stereos before, this sounds quite daunting. Im 5 minutes from J28 on the M1.
GreenSheener
Anyone? also, found some that say are compatible with steering wheels controls eg. http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk/clarion-wx ... 993b2726f7 does that mean you dont need the PAC thingy? Zedrush
hya pal, with a double-din unit it all depends which one you get will depend on how much of the stuff you listed you will need. If you have a bose unit, one thing you will need is a pac oem loom, which seem to be only available from the states. This will stop you having to cut into wires that lead to the bose amp and speakers. As for the rest of it, you may not need a harness, if you want it to talk to the steering wheel then there are plenty of items on ebay that are selling gadgets for this pretty cheap. As for fitting, its pretty straight forward once you obtained a pac oem adapter, I got mine from american ebay site but you could give bigphil a shout as he may be able to source em If you want guidance pm H5 or Andy with any questions as they are pretty clued up with ice install note to self, I really must get new shot of this, ive way over used this one lol
Ian
You will need 1 Headunit Micra speaker harness PAC-ROEM1 to use the BOSE sub & amp maybe an aerial adaptor The other PAC adaptor for the steering wheel controls Not sure but you may also need a fascia. Fitting is fairly easy, the hardest part i found was getting the BOSE out

The fascia is just a thing black plastic thing that you can glue inside the hole to make your HU fit flush

GreenSheener
lol, now the left door speakers randomly stops working, but if i give the left hand side of the centre console a tap on the side, it works again, til i have to brake hard then it dies again. hahaha cant wait for my "PACs" to arrive from the good ol' US of A.
