Yariso
Hello! I’m a newbie here and looking for advice. I have a 2011 370z and want to upgrade the performance. I have £2k to play with. Can you advise the best mods? Is it a new exhaust, intake or what? Thank you.
Davectr
New exhaust, there’s plenty to choose from and I’m sure you’ll get lots of suggestions. Drop in filters are fine, unless you specifically want an intake (for looks). Uprev or Ecutek to allow fine tuning of the mods. That’s probably it tbh, you won’t get much increase in performance without going forced induction which will cost a lot more
Yariso
Thanks for the reply. How much would forced induction cost? If it’s worth it, i’d happily wait and save a bit more
Payco
Welcome.Take your time and trawl the threads on here and the US forums.I would go for an Ark Dual grip exhaust and drop in filters or Stillen Gen 3s and then a ecutek remap. But that’s me. Edited February 4, 2018 by Payco
nissanjuke
I agree with PAYCO , go with above and enjoy!!!!!!!!

Adrian@TORQEN
Hi and welcome to the forum. For a £2k budget: Exhaust https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/exhausts/exhaust-systems/1939-370z-ark-grip-cat-back-exhaust-sm0901-0209g.html - currently 20% OFF or https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/exhausts/exhaust-systems/1937-370z-invidia-gemini-cat-back-exhaust-system-hs09n7zgis.html High Flow Cats - 20% - in production, 4-8 weeks to arrive, a few places left for the 370z. Intake system Option 1 https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/intakes/intakes-system/1331-370z-stillen-generation-3-ultra-long-tube-dual-intake-kit-with-dry-filters-402852df.html or if you want just filters and silicone hoses, plenty in stock, see here: Option 2 https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/intakes/filters/1322-370z-hks-super-hybrid-filter-2-piece-set-70017-an004.html and https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/intakes/intakes-system/1321-370z-torqen-silicone-air-intake-hose-set-16576-cz-z34-x.html In case you decide for the 2nd option, you should have funds left for EcuTek remap Horsham Developments, license and dyno time. Forced induction it's an expensive adventure, starts very roughly from about £8k for the kit + £3,500 installation and tuning for supercharging, or £10k for the kit and £4k-£5k for installation and tuning. Plenty of surpercharged 370z in UK, only 1 twin turbo 370z in UK as far as I know, let me know if you need further info on this. Any questions, ask here or via PM. Hope this helps. Rollo
Helpful advice above. Will try a new intake and filters for starters. Then a remap. A friend (who was trying to be helpful I'm sure) was saying there's stricter rules about what you're allowed to do to your car this year. Is any of the above affected by these (if true)? Ekona
Only relates to emissions equipment (ie the cats) and the MOT, and it simply says that anything fitted by the manufacturer must not be missing, obviously modified or defective. Read it strictly and anything other than OEM cats are a clear fail, but common sense says that aftermarket replacements will be fine. nub
If you want the best for your money then use a stock intake setup. I say that as I reverted to stock HKS hybrid filters and silicone hoses etc I’m selling a Z1 CAI for £250 but to be honest , just like the Stillen G3 it’s not really doing anything other than making an induction note. You might get 1-2 at the peak but lose it further down so I wouldn’t bother. You can buy one of the cheaper exhausts like cobra and a HFC. Buy one used if you can and save money. 2.5” or higher gives better gains. Then you should make something like 350bhp, if you do go HFC or decats just make sure it’s one of the quieter cat backs. I’ve got an ART decat Pipes with an Ark Grip and there’s no drone whatsoever but they’ve both got special resonators on them. so I’ve got 4x helmholtz resonators. Supercharging then you might as well look at other cars really.

The current non 20% off price at Tarmacsportz is cheaper by circa £40. Edited June 10, 2018 by StormWhite
