At my local Nissan HPC

p1 is £119

p2 is £219

p3 is around £279

spark plugs change I think is £199

Therefore at 5 years P2 + spark plugs should be £428

Hope that helps

HPC is Nissan High Performance Centre.

my nearest is West Way Nissan in Aldershot who quoted me those prices, however they charge an additional premium in the first 3 years whilst the car under manufacturers warranty.

West Way Nissan Birmingham charge £159 for the same service

That's where i went for my test drive.  The salesman was the biggest tw4t i ever met.  Showed no interest, on the test drive just told me the obvious stuff.  After getting out of the car he was ready to lock it up, i had to ask him for a look in the boot and for a listen to the stereo.  Then on return to the shop, he was discussing the deal in the general tea area, on top of a cabinet. Disgraceful!  My mrs was buying a Merc just weeks before and the service was night and day!

Needless to say i didn't buy the car from Aldershot (he didn't deserve the sale).  I went to Mill Hill, not that the service was a scratch on Merc.

Also funny how they charge more when the car is newer? that makes sense lol!

I think i am extra begrudging as i do a lot of mechanical on my other cars and know the cost of parts.  In the grand scheme of things, £199 ain't bad.

I had mine done on a 58 plate HR at 48kish which came in around £270 I believe - They did say I should have spark plugs and break / trans fluid done ideally but not essential (did them any way via another garage) - If your service includes all that then explains the price but still seems a bit rich in my opinion!

Just FYI - Spark plugs from Wessex Nissan in Bristol (fitted) would have been £201 - The HR have more expensive plugs than a lot of cars so didn't think that was too bad (though still had it done elsewhere for less!).

ignore me - 370z section not the 350z I thought I was in lol.

^^^ That.

However, don't forget you can haggle prices at a main dealer, they're no different to anywhere else. Might be worth it when you look at the potential value that could be lost to Mr Numpty who wants to buy your car but feels it's crap without a FNSH.

This is the thing. Should I negotiate upfront? Get some prices from competitors?

Either or, tbh it's not really relevant to a main dealer what indies charge as they're not in direct competition, and you'd expect to pay more for the value of the stamp and the nice sofas, free coffee & biscuits, pretty receptionist etc. Just how much more is a value only you can decide :)
