valy
^^^ the above and a few more comments have taken this thread from 'the best every day all rounder' which was quite interesting (page 1) to 'yeah I'd like that daily runner and this is my second car at home'.... I remember back in the late 90`s a local builder to me was using a Sierra Cosworth as his works van!

Works for me - 4 seats, doesnt cost the actual earth, reasonable fuel economy, big hatchback boot, quick, fun, good looking (depending on taste) and 4WD for when it snows. Golf R does too, its got split/fold rear seats man! Excellent dumpmobile.
Jay84
I agree with the Golf R, but I can't get away from some of the Sport Wagons BMW and Audi do. When I was a younger man I was a sucker for the Mitsi Legnum.

Mikevv
BMW M550d Mental fast, comes in wagon form if you need it, X-drive, 400 bhp/560lb ft. 0-60 in 4.4 and 38mpg Don't ask about repairs or maintenance, 4 turbos is hella confusing to run I bet. docwra
M550d is "only" three turbos Good shout though, I had one as a hire car in Germany last year and loved it. Very fast and surprisingly good on fuel too
