1CE
A couple of my parking sensors have started to flake, leaving them black rather then gunmetal. has anyone suffered the same problem? Can these be touched up with paint or will it effect the sensor?
rabbitstew
The father-in-law fitted some after market sensors to his car last year and painted them with touchup paint to blend them in. This screwed the sensors up - it thought the paint was an object it was about to hit. As cars seem to do have colour coded sensors im not sure how they paint them without the above problem, unless its dependant upon the type of sensor. 1CE
That's my thoughts, I'm tempted to try and remove the paint just to even the looks out. Do you know if they are easy to remove? Thanks
gillywig2
I've just repalced a sensor on my Dad's Focus. I used a light primer coat, 2 colour coats and 2 of lacquer. It still works as intended. I initially bought touch up paint but thought it would be to thick so changed it for spray.
Foo56
Would Vinyl work as an alternative?
