maix27
Hi guys, newbie here! I'm just starting my route to 350Z ownership. I'm 25 in september and i feel it's time for a Z car! Quick question, anyone my age on here (24/25), what's your insurance like? I have no NCB. (named driver on lots of cars, which is annoying!) Glad to join :-)
M13KYF
their are some owners younger. Insurance is partly down to where you live. Have a look in the insurance section as this has been raised before http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=
martinmac
Hi bud and welcome to the forum. You would be classed as one of our "older" newbies nowadays. As Mike says, plenty in the insurance section and shop around.
maix27
wow, 25 is old for 350 ownership! I'm in the wrong job :-) Cheers for the link, i'll have a gander. Another question, the fairylady Z was never released in the UK was it? I used to work on Banzai magazine, among others, but it's only really been the 350 that has got me interested in Jap, so i've never really paid much interest to the scene, always been more interested in german metal, but i think i'm a convert! ;-)
Ian
I'm 23 and I pay £950 for insurance with all mods covered on a like for like basis
AndySpak
I'm 31 and pay £950 for insurance. I had no NCBs either when I took my policy out.
Stew
I'm 25 Just..... I renewed my insurance at 24. £450 fully comp. 7 years NCB and limited mileage (don't pay for it if you don't do it - that's my top tip!) I also live in a very good postcode for insurance. AndySpak
Ah, I should probably add that my policy includes business use and upto 25,000 miles per year. Also I've got 6 points. My postcode area is OK.
sl114
Hey Max and welcome, i was 24 when i bought mine and paid £1400 through Adrian Flux, i live in a high-ish area (classed as Watford, which is annoying as where i live it is not high risk at all), had 3 points at the time and had no no claims discount

kustard
I'm 26, have 6 years NCB, driving for 9, 3 points and my quotes are coming in around 1k from an initial look - which seems really high. I think it's because my postcode is Leeds 6 - which is apparently the most burgled postcode in the country. Cheeeeeeeeeeers.
martinmac
to the forum. One advantage of been old (44) is i only pay £480 That'll be the yellow premium then
S1 HNK
25 and its about a £1000 with mods listed. it should be around this mark, anymore than £1500 and its a bad deal...either that or your postcode town is Basra
maix27
Thanks for all the replies. Lots of help. I've never seen such a warm welcom to a forum either, thanks! I'm hoping by september i'll be all set to just go out and buy one. So far i'm thinking black, coupe, GT pack (what's that like by the way?) with sat nav... just because it's cool :-) Has anyone on here supercharged theirs? I got a ride in the initial Nisan UK one when it came in to the mag, mental car. I don't know if i'd boost a beautifully-crafted N/A. Isn't that sacraledge??!! bronzee
You know the cost of insurance will be nothing in comparison to what your mods will cost.
macca
I'm 24, 23 when I insured it and it was £1200. Driving for 6 years 4 years no claims. Seems high reading some of the others, and I live in a village. Thieving insurance companies!

Isn't that sacraledge??!! welcome mate. i'd go GT just cos it gives a few more extras as standard and it's easier to sell on later. a few on here have f/i but it costs £££ to install and there is a limit to how much boost you can have before your engine goes boom, unless you rebuild your engine. there's loads on here about it bud. btw i'm 24, 3 yrs ncb, no points, decent postcode and my insurance is £800. had to put my g/f on it to lower the premium.
