To keep me in a car, I'm looking at 235i and golf r until I can get something else later in the year with some saving. It's a shame I'm having to do this as I wanted to take my time and save, but if I can get a 235i for around 24k then i won't lose much on it when it comes to sell. I hope. Recently a BMW dealership was selling new pre-reg 240i with 37% discount. May be worth ringing around. For reference the dealer was Coopers BMW, hope that helps. £26k for a £40k list Car.

Unless you enjoy trying not to kill yourself on every single trip, I wouldn't bother. I consider myself a reasonably capable driver, but the two I drove were just spiteful. That said, the newer ones are supposed to be significantly better. And even then, I'duy 235i/240i over any M4 as they're just so much more fun to drive. Guys ... WINKJ
So guys - thanks for your 5 pages of putting up with my questions, indecisiveness and general back and forth - as i'v been in a loan car from the insurers and then had to hire a car for a week, I've decided just to get on with it and make a purchase. Put down the money yesterday @ 1pm and collected the car at 5. It's my first turbo'd car, also with auto/"flappy paddles" but I find it stupidly quick, which is ideal for losing my license . Driving it back from Cov last night in the dark/grease it felt a slight bit uneasy on the back end which is contrary to what the reviews online have said, stating they're super planted, both the 4 and 2wd. For the money, fun, practicality, sound and comfort its a perfect balance. Must say i'm super happy with it and may end up keeping it longer than the 6 months I initially thought I would! Ekona
Brilliant cars, great choice fella. I'd have one in a heartbeat, and that auto 'box really doesn't feel any different from a decent dual clutcher either when you're on it.

It was Greenlight I think, with them for nearly 3 years, even had decent European cover for the roadtrip we did to the Swiss alp. If it hasnt got one fitted get a Quaife LSD installed, out of all the mods i did on the 335i - Suspension, antiroll bars, remap, downpipes, backboxes, intercooler, oil cooler, CIC nav retrofit, the LSD was by far the best. Cimanu
The F interior is one of the best right now, I love the current M sport steering wheel. The auto box is a delight in these too, that's a good buy for sure!
docwra
Good work that man, truly excellent cars. IF you are looking at remaps, look into MHD as its a lot cheaper than custom mapping.
