1CE
Fitted the Torqen 15mm spacers today to the rear. Considering they are only 15mm, they make quite a difference . It's also made me realise how cruddy it is back there . So now I'm adding new discs and braided lines to pile.. Cruddy AF!
1CE
Couple of new additions for under the bonnet . Needless to say I'm going purple underneath . Very happy with the bonnet struts! Why all cars don't come with these i'll never know..
1CE
So I finally got my Torqen HFC's and Stillen You Pipe fitted and holy sh*t does it sound and feel savage now . I didn't think those 2 changes would make so much difference in noise! Just need a remap now! I'll get some fly by's!! Payco
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you have fitted your bonnet dampers upside down. Edited November 12, 2018 by Payco 1
1CE
Could have sworn I double checked... Or did I have the instructions up-side-down.. .
Payco
Easy mistake to make, you aren't the first and wont be the last. Easy to fix and they will work better.
davey_83
I have Circuit Sports ones and fitted this way also. Gas springs are commonly installed with the rod in the downward position. This will allow the oil inside the system to stay in contact with the sealing mechanism in order to keep it moist, thus prolonging the life of the gas spring by keeping the seal from drying out. 1CE
Little update but more to come... Decided she needed a good clean and wax since passing a gritter.. I swear I cannot do anything without him wanting to get involved . EML also seems to keep popping up after fitting my sports cats. Getting the codes read today but I'm hoping it's just needing a remap now.. Edited December 28, 2018 by 1CE
1CE
Think I just answered my own question lol. Got myself a Bluetooth obd 2 reader and the torque pro app. All point to the O2 sensors . It's a brilliant lite toy!!!
davey_83
Those sensors can be mapped out during the UpRev tune. Those sensors with the HFC maybe out of scope to what the factory parameters are expecting to see post cats.
1CE
Ahh I was hoping it would be along those lines! Another excuse for an uprev in the new year . you know what's also great about that app? I don't have to do the peddle dance to clear the EML! I simply send the command to the ECU via the app . 1CE
Haha, my neighbours are always popping out to see what I'm up too . Done a few little tasks today that have been bugging me for a while! Sorted the rear bumper rattle...It was missing it's clips that hold it to the bracket, cheap easy fix! Also adjusted the handbrake, polished the headlights again..And polished the exhaust! No wasting time.. The Das Pro came out! Autosol to the rescue! Pleased with the results! Before After
