Shep1982
Hi guys and gals, I recently bought my 370z a week or so ago now. Now I knew there was around 4mm on the back and about 3 left on the front. So I'm looking to change them very soon. However what I didn't notice is that the rear tyres are different. Ones a pirelli P zero and the others a michelin pilot super sport. There both correct size I. E. 275/35/19 but the pirelli looks is stretched even though it's the correct size. Has a anyone notice this. The mitchelin is not. I like the look so might go for all P zeros. Can someone tell me is this normal and the P zero when fitted are stretched. Attached pictures. If someone can confirm they do have the stretched look then that's brilliant. P. S. Ignore the curbage. It will be repaired lmao
Ekona
The MPSS does indeed have more rim protection on it than a Pirelli, so normal. However, please do not drive that car until you've changed the rear tyres so they match. I mean, you can drive at real low speed to the tyre place to get them changed, but don't carry on driving as usual: Having mixed tyres across an axle is seriously dangerous. And those P Zeroes are garbage, the MPSS is a MUCh better tyre all round.
Jay84
Can we change you from tyre guru to michelin pr? Haha you know I love you @Ekona
Shep1982
Cheers. Wow I'm skint after buying the car was hoping I could get three months out of them daily use as work is only 3 miles way. Then in 3 months get some new lmao and before anyone says if ya can't afford tyres ya can't afford the car. Rubbish lol. I just bought a house not long ago. My bank is now empty lmao haha. I guess safety is first though. I had heard that it's not great to have different brands on the driving axle but thought it would be fine if similar compounds, speed rating and type etc. Are P zero that bad then. Ive always thought they were doing decent tyres, however I've never had them on a zed haha. Guess it's the old credit card time. I guess the zed spending begins haha. Apart from mpsp what other tyres do ya rate? :-) Oh and Thanks ;-)
