57jam89
Hi all, I put a ceramic coating on my car but 7 hours later it rained for 30 secs and has white marks all across the paint. Any advice on how to remove?
ZMANALEX
Best to seek informed advice from the manufacturer of the ceramic coating, or an experienced detailer.
Stutopia
I’d defo be going back to the coating manufacturer first.
ilogikal1
Which coating? Most have a 24 hour curing period before the coating can get wet so what you've got is waterspotting. A waterspot remover will likely solve it but if it's bad you'll need to polish and re-apply. This is also why most coating manufacturers offer a topping sealant, to protect the coating whilst it cures fully.
G1en
Yep. The 3 different coatings I sell all state car must remain dry for 12 hours to fully cure. You will prob have to polish area and re apply as ilogikal says. but speak to relevant supplier for advice.
nipwahh
The instructions should mention white or water spots, some brands have a preventor within the range. If the coating has now cured, re-polishing and re-application is required.
