Randy_Baton
Hi, My cars in the garage getting the break fluid changed and they are having trouble removing one of the bleed nipples. They are going to soak it in wd40 and leave it for a while. What are my options if it snaps off?
scobie140
Use a proper penetrating fluid. WD40 is a jack of all trades not really a penetrating fluid. Plus gas or easol are much better. Could also try heating the caliper although this will knacker your paint most likely. Try and give it a bit of shock by getting a good hit on it with a hammer, difficult as you don't want to damage the nipple. Worse case scenario it will shear and need drilled and tapped or make a total balls of it and need a new calliper
ZMANALEX
Fully working pre owned rear calipers with new bleed nipples fitted are in stock if required.
Science_GT
Both my rears did this had to gave them to an engineering company on the south coast to drill and put new valves in! Annoying as my mate who fitted them lived a couple of hours away but wasn't his fault. Cost £40-50 so wasn't too much drama. At least I know they are sorted for the future.
