Rob350
Im trying to jack the rear of my car and sit axle stands under the sills. I read that you... Jack off the diff but my diff has fins on the bottom of it, won't these just bend??
G1en
My last diff before i had it replaced had a couple of the fins broke which may have been a result of someone doing this, im not sure, but the main diff housing behind is smooth so can you just reach the trolley a little further underneath? Rob350
Good man.. I had a plastic cover covering the bottom of the diff, so at 1st sight it looks all finned, after reading your comment ive removed the cover and it is very Jackable. Hardy350
Where abouts can you put the stands on a 350? And where is best to jack the front from? Im extremely wary after bad experiences with mx5 sills lol
Redsky
From what i understand you jack from the diff at the back but not on the little metal fins as they bend and at the front you jack from the circular jacking point right in the center of the car almost in line with the front axle. I placed jack stands on the two lines of metal that run from front to back on the car and that seemed to hold up well. I havent tried to jack up the back of the car yet. The Chubby Ninja
I usually slide the jack in til it hits that little nob and jack it on the fins. Do it multiple times every trackday and never had an issue for 2 years and never snapped any fins

Yep that's the official jacking point for the rear I think. Its the bit I've used every time I've had the back end off the ground over the years.
