Dicky
Anyone know what the reading should be from a hot engine at idle, mine is about 96 degC How does this compare?
Ekona
That's fine. Usually anything below 120c is okay when dealing with oil temps, although I don't know the exact temp that a 370 goes into limp mode at. I guess it's quite easily from the many "get an oil cooler!" posts we see on here regularly!
Siyork89
Mine holds around 90 and rises to 100 under lively driving
Mikevv
Anything under 110 I wouldn't worry about. Mine goes to 110 after doing a pull through a few gears, and more lively driving, but other than that its never gone above 95 normal driving
coyoteboy
Highest oil temps I see are under sustained motorway action. 110 worst case. Sits at 90 when running about town. I think limp kicks in at 130+, which makes sense because oils begin to break down about 135. Edited August 11, 2017 by coyoteboy
