PageyUK
Hi, One of my wheels has alight kerbing and the others have got the paint flaking away on the inside of the spokes. I'd like to get them refurbished properly. Has anyone had this done in the South West? Preferably near Somerset/Taunton. Do most places keep the car there or am I better putting the car on axle stands and taking the weeks to wherever does it? Not really wanting a smart repair, wanting a proper job done... JamesP
South west wheel repairs in Exeter are very good and I've only ever heard good things about them. They're not the cheapest but do give a very good finish. I think they have the space to store your car whilst they work on the wheels but if you can take them off yourself that would probably be easier for them. I think it's £66 per wheel. I'll enquire what the price difference is for leaving car with them or not.... Have you used them yourself?

Have you used them yourself? Yes I have. I had a pair of rays te37s repaired by them. I hit a pothole and bent the outer rim quite badly. They managed to straighten out the damage and refurb them. Came back looking brand new.

Always wanted those wheels on my red MR2! I'll give them a call and see what the prices are. Desperately need doing, really letting the car down now. Thanks for your replies. Holfy92
Got mine done last week by them and they done an amazing job refurbishing them! I love them If you want any pictures just ask. Cost £312, not including center caps.
Mikevv
Not that I can speak of their quality, but "the wheel specialist" is a huge chain of them , and they seem to charge between £250 and £300... for the sake of £50 I'd go with a highly recommended place. Not a HUGE sum of money to add in, and will save you the ball ache of fixing a crap job/arguing that it needs to be redone. I tried a new place, they were cheap ish, had a note pad with me. found 8 places that needed a touch up over the 4 wheels. only one came out flawless. 2 hours of arguing and they finally decided to redo them, and I got an apology! Rather have had it done right first time.
