Redsky
Im not sure if this is maybe an HR engine quirk or maybe a ECU setting a previous owner did but since owning my car (since march, 2007 HR) Whenever I start the car regardless of temperature or conditions it starts and then sits at about 2200 rpm. I understand engine idle higher than their warm idle when cold but going from 800 rpm warm to 2200 just starting seems really over the top. If i leave the engine to sit their it slowly comes down in RPM over the course of about 2 minutes, where as if i put the car in gear and start to drive it happily returns to its nearly warm idle speed. Anyone have any ideas at all? Just worried i might have a fault somewhere along the car or maybe a dodgy ECU tweak.
Redsky
Dont worry just spent an hour roaming the internet and found that its fairly common. Just didnt realise it was meant to sit that high.
