Thanks
SHEZZA
Daft question I know ! you are pushing the clutch down ?
PPod
whats your power voltage at on your dials ? If its below 10v it won't start but all electronics still work.
Jay84
I was thinking the same as @SHEZZA, and if you are it could be a loose connection on the clutch pedal switch.
gillywig2
Faulty/dirty clutch pedal switch. That was my problem a couple of years ago.
Declangibbs
Yep clutch pedal being pressed. Okay thanks is it a hard job?
Declangibbs
Just seen on another thread that you can adjust the switch. Will have a go at that tomorrow. is there any other things it could be ?
biggles
Do the dash lights dim when trying to start? If so, could be loose battery connections not allowing starter motor to draw enough current and crank the engine.
Declangibbs
Will check tomorrow but I know for a fact the terminals are all connected tight. im starting to think it could be starter solenoid. just seems strange that if I leave it for a minute it will start fine

Declangibbs
Think I've got it sussed. just looked at the clutch pedal and I can see the sensor and it's coated in blue electrical tape. Guessing someone has bypassed the sensor poorly. guess I've found this afternoons job! Cheers guys
