Ash87
Just had a spare 20 mins, so thought I'd have a go at cleaning my exhaust pipes up. They looked pretty bad, still not great. How would you go about removing that black stuff inside? I was thinking the wire brush attachment on the dremel??
Exec
I would use something to try and break up the carbon deposits like paint thinner or tar and glue remover. I'd start small with a scouring pad rather than go straight for the wire brush attachment. You don't wanna scratch the insides to bits but you may have to in the end... Hardy350
Used meguiars metal polish on mine and worked a treat. Not a spot left.
Willsy1980
Yeah I used brasso and a scouring pad, let the brasso soak in first the scrub like hell. It's a filthy job so wear gloves, unless you don't want to be able to touch your mrs for a month Edited June 23, 2017 by Willsy1980
Ash87
I used autosol to make it look like this. I'll try again another day with a scourer &a some metal polish. Ha yea, I had gloves on - wouldn't want to upset the mrs!
Colin747
I used Meguiars NXT polish to bring mine up a bit better, they certainly need another go but not bad for 5 mins.
Foo56
If it's stainless, Harpic power max and wirebrush should do the job..
