bens313
Hello everyone! I've searched over the forums before posting this but cant find anything specifically related to the whine i am talking about. I know the transmission is quite noisy as standard in the 350z, however the one i purchased not too long ago has a very distinctive whine, mainly noticeable from about 2000 - 3500 revs in any gear (in higher gears wind/tire noise manly drowns it out). It almost sounds like a supercharger whine, however worrying instead of rewarding . I have changed both the gearbox oil and the diff oil with little to no noticeable difference to the sound. All the gears engage and disengage nicely, and everything else seems normal transmission wise after doing some reading on here about what i should expect. So i guess my question is how much (if any) whine is a concerning amount?
