zelda
Hey, I'd like a bluetooth stereo (Android phone) for my 350z, and want to retain both my steering wheel controls and relatively stock look. I'm probably not going to nuts on adding additional speakers, sub etc. so looking for opinions on something like this guys: http://www.ebay.co.u...gwAAOSw-0xYc1oy What you think? If there's something else better quality etc, with orange leds I'd love to know. Edited May 20, 2017 by zelda

zelda
Yeah I did read that. In past I've usually found most Bluetooth devices will work with Android despite the iPhone disclaimer. Can't hurt to ask the seller though.. Is there a specific steering wheel control adapter for blaupunkt or can you get a universal jobbie? GMballistic
Not my cup of tea ~ just not a fan of how that head unit looks tbh plus if something goes wrong getting it back to the seller on eBay may be a PITA. zelda
Looks nice. Like the texture around the bezel, might blend in well. Will take a look at the link thanks.

zelda
The link for the steering controls was broken, but I think this is the equivalent: http://caraudiosecurity.com/29-674-nissan-350z-bose-steering-control-interface-adaptor It does however say "Must be used with patch lead to suit make of head unit being fitted." Is that likely to be included with the new HU?
GMballistic
The link for the steering controls was broken, but I think this is the equivalent: http://caraudiosecur...terface-adaptor It does however say "Must be used with patch lead to suit make of head unit being fitted." Is that likely to be included with the new HU? I'm not 100% sure tbh but I know you will get some wiring with the head unit included, ...just not sure that it's called the "patch lead". It's usually wiring with specific plugs to suit the make of head unit. Lots of patch leads here: https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/stereo-patch-leads.html See if anyone else replies on here or check with the audio place you get to fit it if that's the way you are going. You could also try asking Buster directly as he seems to know the 350's ICE set ups pretty well. He is here: http://www.350z-uk.com/user/11228-buster/ Also this "volume fix" is worth a read: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107583-how-to-busters-rca-headunit-volume-fix-guide/
zelda
Ok, so far my shopping list is looking like this: Headunit http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car-stereos/sony-wx-900bt-double-din-car-stereo?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Car+Audio-_-Car+Stereos-_-216744&_$ja=tsid:60494%7Ccgn:GoogleShopping%7Ckw:216744&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=appmwmaqi&istBid=tztr&_$ja=tsid:35522|cid:344534764|agid:24344212204|tid:aud-80976661549:pla-230455401364|crid:83789081524|nw:g|rnd:10612550243515979711|dvc:c|adp:1o3&gclid=CKCsxpmp_9MCFVdAGwodNI4LYQ Fascia, steering controls https://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=4482 Patch lead https://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=2643 Reading other posts it seems there's not much point in upgrading the rear speakers unless you're after a high end setup. But, doing the fronts can make a difference, so... can anyone recommend any 6.5" front speakers that will be noticeably better than the Bose ones? Although I can spend up to £100, I don't really know if I will benefit spending at my top end. E.g. is there really much between these two: https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-sony-xs-gs1621_p-40029.htm https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-in-phase-xtc17-2_p-32104.htm Sorry.. I've not done much on the audio side before. Thoughts?
