LewisH
"They" is me and I was, of course, kidding myself... I really enjoyed modding my old 350 but getting a new Nismo Mk2 I thought, what would I do to that? I'll just keep it stock and love it, right?! Idiot. Zeditis... turns out once you catch it, you ain't getting rid of it. Also didn't help when Bob took the **** out of how quiet it was at the Ace Cafe meet Starting a build thread now as I know this will snowball over the next year or so. So far just a bunch of minor mods done: Black Z burgers GT-R Start button Black wrapped door handles Black wrapped side indicator emblems 25mm spacers all round Nismo rad cap Custom rear exhaust system with 5" burnt tips (beast!) Here she is, stock just 3 months ago, except the black badges, had those ready prepared. Not long after I fitted the GT-R start button. Super easy to fit with some interior tools, just pop out the old one and plug the new one in. Whipped the wheels off for a good clean and to fit the spacers. In the process of doing this, found these 6 wonderful mistakes stuck to my front springs... Bit of a broken record story now but check your front springs for these transport blocks! Got the door handles and side indicators wrapped. Love these! All ready for Japfest! Had a great time at Japfest, but as always the shows just feed my hunger for more mods! Cheeky little engine mod, rather surprisingly this has actually increased the engine cooling by about 5 degrees. Then is was time to bring the noise! Thanks to Abi tipping me off about Infinity Exhausts, I rushed over there for a, very loud, custom rear system with 5" tips that really fill the large Nismo Mk2 bumper gaps. Totally transformed the feel of the car. The sound is amazing compared to the very disappointing stock Nismo system. Lots of burble and pops on those addictive rev sync'd downshifts! All about the smiles per gallon now! Gave it a good snow foam this weekend and saw a good photo op at my lil bro's 'office'. Next on the build list: Rear window tints Gloss black wheel refurb Long pipe intakes HFC's (maybe) Number plate relocation ...and more Cheers for the view!
getshawty
Very nice car. I have the exact same low profile jack. How safe are the spacers because I wanted some too but I've heard bad things so I got put off buying any.
mattross1313
Cars looking great dude, really nice progress! I'm hoping to get my door handles done black this month too (I have a white MKII Nismo). Do you have a front/rear photo of the car with spacers fitted? I'm looking to do this but can't find many who have the Nismo and spacers. I've taken off my Nismo arches and trying to work out if 15 or 20's works be best. Might help me guess

I was really worried that 25mm was going to be too 'pokey' and tbh the lips kind of save me there. If you have removed the lips you should be safe to go 20mm all round. Again, not great pics and the springs hadn't settled at this point. They are perfectly flush with the arch + lip.

The spacers are good quality and hub centric so pretty safe as long as you torque them on correctly. Never had any safety concerns with good quality spacers in the past. Did you lower the car also? or do you just mean that the stock springs haven't settled since jacking up the car? If thats stock height it looks really good now the spacers are on there! Yea the car is on stock springs, they just hadn't settled after being jacked in those pics. After taking the transport blocks off the front springs and fitting the spacers the ride height sits pretty nicely, although, I still may lower it a bit in the future. Cray Z
Omg! I found my twin. I was thinking the same when I got mine. What's to mod I thought. Then I pulled the badges off and stuck a black one on. Only today I was thinking of blacking the handles and came on here to ask about it. How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking? Also exhaust note I agree is a bit weak so that May be next on the list. However I have only had the car 2 months, ain't run it in yet, not even done 200 miles lol!! I think I need to check myself. Cimanu
All black usually is a bit much, red accents of the Nismo set this off nicely though, looking great! Edited April 10, 2018 by Cimanu
