Camshaft Position Sensor

Hi Guys,

 

I have a GT4 Zed for the revup engine and it has thrown up an EML for the Camshaft sensor on bank 2

 

now correct me if im rong but bank 2 is the passenger side on a RHD car underneath the throttle body ?

 

so according to the part number and everything else i can see on the internet it should look a little something like one of these :

however upon removal of the sensor it looks more like the sensor meant for bank1.

 

so i removed the drivers side sensor just encase and both sensors look exactly like this:

I thought okay then whatever ill try the new bank2 sensor anyway but it didn't even fit with the wiring harness/plug. I cannot see that the plug has been changed or tampered with either

 

so as you can imagine im quite confused.

 

anyone come across this before ?

Any part numbers on the old sensor?

not that i could see, only identifier if anything was a small k on there

Might be worth sending pictures to the supplier of what yours look like, if its a 'change over' year, that could cause discrepancies. Had a quick look on ecp under my reg and it doesn't list anything im afraid.

Tbh might aswell be worth just changing both, as its easier to pull the plenum to do both
