Jk-boi
Sorry this may of already been covered but did not find the answers im after when i searched. What sort of weight gear knobs do most people go for when changing? Also what weight are the oem ones compared to the nismo ? I find the OEM knob to short and changing gear is a very heavy affair compared to jumping out of my daily thats like stirring a bucket of air with a feather... To improve this im thinking ill need a knob with a little more weight and length? (pun not intended) Something like this? https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/nrg-black-chrome-universal-short-shifter-style-shift-knob.html Any help or experience welcomed
Willsy1980
I had similar feelings in mine, until I fitted one of these from Moped http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107048-blinged-custom-gear-knobs/ They suit the car to a T and the throw is far more positive. I'd say they weight is pretty much bang on where it needs to be. Additionally, when you do come to change it, you will need to remove the surround and the rubber boot under it. You must grip the shaft they are on tight ! don't just try and twist off or you could damage the box. I had to use 2 pairs of grips to get mine off, destroying the Golfball one in the process. xscotteex
I destroyed my original knob getting it off in place of my Mishimoto weighted lump. As Willsy said, make sure you use a pair of good molegrips
