Dave6188
As per title, I fitted the Xtreme HR kit to my car, the flywheel is approximately half the weight of the OEM dual mass. The car revs up and down much more freely. I understand there will be less inertia on the crank now due to the lightened flywheel but does this actually make the car quicker in anyway shape or form ? Strudul
In a word, yes.
Dave6188
So would you see a power & torque increase on a dyno seeing as the engine isn't working as hard anymore ??? Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
Ekona
You'd see fewer losses from the drivetrain, which on a dyno would likely show up as an increase in power.
Strudul
Depends on the type of dyno: Inertial - Yes Brake - No
Dr.Factory
I think a lighter flywheel will never show changes in hps or torque... but it will make a lot of difference as far as revving speed of the engine! With a lighter flywheel it will pick up revs much better... but it will also lose revs quicker! Meaning you will lose some inertia... but for aggressive or track driving it is only a benefit! Carbon.Ninja
I can't wait to get my ORC 409 installed for this exact reason! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
zippypooz
Well if it inceases acceleration then its a winner!
