reeceybeaney
I was looking at these clutch/flywheels too. Seems a good price but mixed reviews? Hopefully others have something to say about them
SherlockH
I got the XTD flywheel with Exedy clutch and has been fine fitted perfectly aswell, would definitely recommend
japmatt
Any update on these clutches and flywheel combos? any excessive idle noises from the lightened flywheel/ any difference in gear changes?
Apoc124
Any update on these clutches and flywheel combos? any excessive idle noises from the lightened flywheel/ any difference in gear changes? there is always going to be extra noise from having a lightened flywheel sounds like a bit of chatter that's the downside but the feel of the clutch/fly combo in my opinion is amazing, very snappy when bringing up the clutch and gear changes have been perfect, ive been running with the combo since late October and had 0 issues with them and would recommend as a good cheap alternative
Aashenfox
I paid 129 quid new from ebay for my XTD type flywheel, it's a solid piece of metal, there isn't much that can go wrong, pay as little as you can. The clutch on the other hand has received mixed reviews, I'd buy genuine Exedy if you can. With the XTD flywheel, throttle resposne is dramatically increased, chatter at idle is almost zero, however low rpm grind under load (accelerating hard from low revs in a high gear) is pretty noisy. On the bright side it teaches you correct gear selection to avoid it.

Aashenfox
http://www.350z-uk.c...nc-smf-350z-de/ The cost of that kit is the only thing preventing me from recommending it to those who are just after a stock replacement. I'm sure it's good value, but not as good as these... I have both of these exact items fitted to my car (I paid even less though, fractionally, about 6 months ago). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252493852528 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272411186505
japmatt
i think im going to go for the full XTD kit on ebay and then source a better release bearing because through my research i believe everything else thats important plate, pad and flywheel are made in high quality and are all made in either japan or the US. only thing they skimp on is the release bearing, seen quite a few with lots of play in them, which isnt going to hold out for very long in our beasts.
