jimmy.farrow7
Are all leather seats on the 350z electric? Im wanting to change my non electric cloth seats to leather and wondered if i could swap leather seats straight onto my cloth seat rails without being electric
veilside z
If you opt to buy Leather 350 seats they will come with their own rails to bolt straight in. You remove your seats with the rails attached. I assume you have 350 cloth and not aftermarket seats fitted?
Olly350z
Problem he'll have is its very unlikely he'll have the loom to adjust them. So when he refits them they'll be in exactly the same position as they were removed, which will probably be too far forward!
KyleR
The wiring is in there, people have swapped from cloth to electric leather before and at least one I know of managed to get the heaters working too.
Olly350z
The wiring wasnt there on my pals fairlady when we swapped his cloth seats for leather.
zxrjohn14
No wiring on my 2002 JDM either. I swapped to leather and got the seats and heaters working by building my own loom with relays etc as shown on the schematic drawing in the manual. jimmy.farrow7
Best thing to do is remove a seat and see if the loom as there, would you cost much to get a sparky to connect them if they are there?
davey_83
Id guess on a UK car, it will have the loom.

Olly350z
Then unless you get a sparky to wire you up a loom im afraid you wont be able to change there positioning

.:Bullen:.
If you do decide to change I've got a lovely set in the garage for sale 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
zxrjohn14
All i did to get the seats in and change the position was temporarily put 2 wires with spade connectors on from the cigarette lighter. I'm sure everyone has a spare phone charger or something they can cut up. Just take the resistor out and bridge it so you get 12v. The spade connectors go to red 12v and green earth on the seat... I will confirm this later by looking at my plug under the seat Edited April 9, 2017 by zxrjohn14
jimmy.farrow7
What sort of price could i expect an auto electrician to charge roughly for them to build and fit a loom ?
zxrjohn14
Probably £60-£80 ish A friend in our area charges £40 per hour and this loom is only 4 wires really.
