breay
Hi guys! Ive already been talking to a few of you about fitting new seats to the zed but i just wanted a few more opinions about what to do with the air bag light that would obviously come on if i removed the original seats. Im sure i read some where that said if the air bag light is on then none of the air bags would work, but also that you could buy a type of resistor that would plug into the seat airbag wiring that would turn the light of and allow the others to work as normal. Does any one know if this is true? any feedback on the subject would be great. Spanku
Chris`I
I've head that placing a resistor across the seat airback plug (obviously left when you remove the seat) will trick the car into thinking the airbag is there and working so you wont get the light. I think a couple of people on here have done it, but also try www.my350z.com, as a lot of people on there have done it
TT2Z
You can get the resistors from Maplins. As you mentioned, you have to do this, or none of the airbags will work. I will search for previous threads and get the details of the resistor. Edit......... 2.0 to 2.2 ohm resistor Ian. What seats are you going for ? I know a pair that will be for sale soon.........
