Z from across the sea!

Recommended Posts

Hello and greetings from a surprisingly warm and sunny Sweden!

Warm enough that I've been able to dehibernate the Z and have some fun. So much fun that I wore out the rear brake pads the day after I took her out of storage hehe.

I'm 27 years of age, live in Sweden about 60k north of Stockholm in a little town called Uppsala. I work as much as I can to afford Z parts ;) When I'm not behind the wheel I'm shredding pow or annoying my neighbours by playing drums in my apartment. Yup.

Enough of me here's my Z!

2008 GT spec with all that entails, HR, Brembos, heated electric leather seats and all that, yeah you probably know what I'm talking about.

I bought it 2 years ago when it was imported from Belgium (to Sweden) where it had been owned since new by a man in his 60's. It had at the time 44k gentle summer miles (71k km) on it, fully serviced, new car smell, everything. Great find eh? Yeah, I didn't even negotiate the price, paid the full asking price which wasn't took bad concidering Z's are rare in Sweden. HR's even rarer.

Anyway what's happened since?

A few more miles. A bunch of preventative maintenance. Some painting of interior details.

As she sits right now she's completely bone stock bar some silly looking JWT intakes I threw on for the sound, a shorty antenna and some wheels and rubber.

Things to come are, among others; a new Pioneer head unit (SPH-DA120) which arrived yesterday, various bits, a Motordyne TDX2 system, MeisterR GT1 suspension (probably), SPL or Voodoo13 control/camber/traction arms, maybe some anti roll bars if the coils don't remedy the understeer. Only the best for my baby! But all of that may take a while, I'm not a rich man.

Future plans: Don't tell my bank account.

I spend about as much time driving as detailing. Or so it feels like. The curse of having a black car. ;)

But that also means she's a really shiny lil buggar!

Time to wade through the wealth of information on this board.

More pics of my Z here! -> https://www.garaget.org/?car=376890

Hope ya'll are having a good evening, take care and don't dorifto too hard, stay away from curbs and drive sensibly! And stuff.

Cheers!

Hi there, lovely looking car, can I have your hood/bonnet please :D

Seriously though, your car is wearing one of my high listed wheel choices, I assume those are JR5 or varrstoen equivalents? May I ask sizes and tyres please? Thanks!

Thank you and no you cannot!

Yes they are (unfortunately) reps of CE28s, Varrstöen ES3 to be precise. Good reps though! Weight wasn't bad at all, I was expecting them to be heavier and they barely needed any weights at all to balance. I couldn't justify the cost of Volks at the time but eventually...

Sizes are:

F: 19x9.5 +12 255/35

R: 19x10.5 +12 275/35

Tires are Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's.
