crute/higgins350z Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 So the day has come to finally replace my w brace, it's been a long time comming but finally started it, fairly straight forward but had an horrible surprise when I finally got it off. The arms that the brace bolts too was not just rusty but crumbling away at my finger tips. So my question is; Has anybody have this problem? Has anybody attempted to fit a new part? There a plate that is part of it the runs just behind the fuel tank, it looks a big job to me- drive shaft/ exhaust drop to get it out the way. ZMANALEX Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Common fault. New and pre owned "W" brace end brackets are in stock and good to go same/next day. Also hardware bolt kit in stock. As regards the plate that you refer to, does not serve much of a purpose so just cut it off. Just drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex. I'm very friendly with the local Nissan dealer so I'm hoping for a deal but if not zedmanalex I'll be in touch. scobie140 Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Yeh I had to change those brackets out when I replaced mine as mine were pretty rotten and every bolt bar one sheared off in them.
