docwra
See above, the compound charged, mid engined, spaceframed, 4WD Lancia Delta S4. How many S4s did they make? Road cars? 200. However due to their immense price (£55K in 1985) they didnt sell very many and ended up crushing most of them. There are still 45 left, and they aint racecars ......... Already put the Veyron in as the defining technological marvel, did you know it changes its suspension geometry as it lowers itself?
brillomaster
I don't understand your thread either, but i'm contributing! after all, throwing in your opinion when you don't understand the question is what internet forums are all about! docwra, don't most cars change their suspension geometry as they get lowered???
docwra
Well, the geometry changes but not for the better, the Veyron actually sorts itself out so the toe, camber, caster and spring rates are the same when its running at 50 km/h and 400 km/h. Or at least so Ive been told, Im struggling to find anything to support this.

Ekona
I suppose all it needs is hydraulics on the adjustment points, a bit like the McLaren active suspension and the Porsche PDCC, but that seems a lot of effort. Also seems totally believable for the Veyron.
LRF4N
Lot of estrogen flying around this forum as of late. I blame it on being spring. Spring? This morning we woke up to 2-3 inches of snow lol

Also seems totally believable for the Veyron. Have you seen the Netflix program Ignition? Yank program but they review the new NSX and really talk a lot about the capabilities. The suspension is unbelievable, it adjusts to different settings, by wheel, per bump...multiple suspension changes per split second. Not a case of just changing from Sport, to Sport+ to Track etc. but tiny iterations as the car moves. Astonishing piece of computer wizardry the NSX. Anyway, back to the thread... ATTAK Z
Looking back through the thread I recognised some of the cars that I or my two sons have had so I thought I'd list them in the order they come up here Porsche 911 Evo 6.5 Tommy Makinen Black RRS Mustang Supra Aston Martin DB9 E-Type Land Rover Toyota Corolla Mini TransAm Escort Oh and did someone mention an Esprit V8
Aashenfox
...ended up crushing most of them. I did not know that. What a crying hurtful giant hairy donkey bollock sized shame. I'm actually gobsmacked why anyone would do that. I still think the Clio is madder though, cos it had no purpose, they did it for the sheer f*** of it, and what a result. It's my absolute number 1 car I must own before I die (mk2), closely followed by the CGT, and then the lambo I promised myself when I was 14 (any one will do). Jay84
I dont know much about the Clio referred to. I assume it was a production thing unlike the JukeR and Aygo Crazy.
docwra
The Clio was production, this is why Aashes saying its mental - there was no reason for it. The story on the Delta S4's is an interesting one that no-one has ever been able to prove (and I cant find reference for anymore Apparently the homologation cars were forgotten about after Lancia went bust for the eleventymillionth time and left in some Italian warehouse. When a new buyer of Lancia found them they thought they would make a quick buck by selling them off, still on their original, now perished tyres. Following two fatal crashes (probably due to the tyres and the fact the car was never crash tested) they decided the car was too dangerous for the road and destroyed the remaining examples. The other awesome S4 story is that they took one of the Group B cars round Estoril in gravel setup, including tyres, "for a laugh". Supposedly it would have qualified 6th for the F1 GP a few weeks before Link: https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/henri-toivonen-at-estoril-exploring-the-myth
