Argyll
Just an update on these discs supplied by CRN products. I contacted EBC direct and asked them about this. The guy thanked me for informing him of this and told me they don't buy the discs from him (sounds suspicious). He's going to look in to it but he suspects they are either counterfeit or they are indeed standard with grooves drilled in to them by CRN. Either way he said they sound dangerous. Just a warning to everyone to make sure you buy from a reputable dealer. God to think there are some shady people selling dodgy brakes. Don't they have a conscience? stranger
New to the car [late 2004 - standard 350Z]. Just had a quote from Nissan main dealers for front and rear pads replacing: About £390! Been to two specialist car accessory shops who both quoted red or yellow stuff pads. Also seen adverts on E-bay from main dealers advertising same...all of these guys came in at around £60-£70 per pair. Total £140 for the front and rear. Even taking into account labour at Nissan..where did the £390 come into play??????? I think the pads were EDC or EBC??? [Ceramic particles in the pads]? Any observations gratefully appreciated. If you know which end of a screwdriver to use, and have the ability to use a jack and take a wheel off, you can change it yourself dead easily. Speak to one of the traders on here, who will sort you out with decent product for a decent price, with loads of advice thrown in. Pop over the the intro section and say hi too!
