JonW
Hi I've got coilovers of an unknown type on my imported 350Z version S. The car suffers from boomy road noise. I've sound proofed the rear with dynamat extreem and fitted "quiet" Dunlop Sp01 tyres but this has only reduced the noise slightly. The only other factor that I can think of is that perhaps the coilovers are setting up some sort of resonance within the car's body. In which case, the solution would be to fit a set of standard shocks and springs. Has anyone here had the same problem? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers Jon

Cheers Jon It is possible as some coilovers, particuarly motorsport versions, have reduced levels of bushing in order to remove compliance in the setup. If you can get some pictures we may be able to identify what you have and advise. If you do decide to revert to standard we have a few low mileage standard shock and spring kits at the workshop. JonW
Hi Phil Thanks for the reply. I posted some pics of the coilovers on the DELETED forum to which you repied suggesting that they might be GAB. http://forums.DELETED.com//ind ... =17046&hl= I might be interested in some standard springs and shocks. I'll PM you when I've looked into this a bit more. Cheers Jon
