Spoiler / Wing - whats the difference

probably wrong but - spoiler at the front down low, wing at the back up high, diffuser at the back down low

Nope :bleh:

It's like Dan said, they go in the same place. Both reduce lift, but using different methods.

Wings direct air upwards, pushing the car down, but causing drag.

Spoilers prevent air from flowing where you don't want it, usually causing it to flow straight back, rather than downwards behind the car (causing lift), and reducing drag.

Both are only functional at high speeds and improve cornering / stability.

Spoiler top, wing bottom:

Although... That's a wing on a spoiler.

P.S. there's another technical difference between a wing and a spoiler, a wing has air flowing over and under, a spoiler only over.
