AMT
Skipped into Mclaren in Hamilton after work as I found out this bad boy was in for one day only.... christ its only just been unveiled lol Not sure what dealership is next on its tour. Wanted to see if it was as odd looking from some pics but trust me it still looks the wide body beast that a 650S was and then some...and sounds good too! Ekona
Nope, that's ugly. Comparatively, of course.
AMT
I would agree its not 'pretty' like the 650S, the 650 had classic profile, not a lot of fuss, which is what I like, this thing was curves everywhere and not much of a tail if that makes sense, but when you see it in the flesh it works. I like the eye socket things nice and evil but I wouldn't have them a contrasting colour to the body unless it was a dark colour. I'm boring so I'd end up having a deep type of grey... meh The interior is nice but not as swoopy as I would have liked... so right there and then I decided to cancel my order..
Ekona
650/675 looked utterly immense, so much character and purpose. This just looks designed by computer. Still smaller than the 570?
AMT
Never actually noticed now you mention it, it's still big, stand behind it and it looks wide but again thats cos' of the low roof. I agree the 675LT is the best looker so far. This could grow on me though. I think designers will look at more aero designs as we are peaking around performance and they can't do the same 'classic' design all the time... even though I'd kinda like them too with modern bits on it. Looking forward to seeing what the 3 seat McLaren will look like... prob a bit mental judging by this...

davey_83
Reminds me of how i felt with i first saw a Saleen S7, just a generic new age super car. Like a no name super car you get on an arcade game.
GMballistic
I need one. Yep you and me both. Think it looks awesome.
BobbyZ
I wouldn't say it's a particularly good looking car. Supercars always look impressive in the flesh because of the proportions, but it doesn't take a design prodigy to make a car low and wide. That said, I do quite like the bit where the rear 3/4 meets the door - gives it a nice muscular look.
Aashenfox
Oh dear lord... It's both ugly in an impressive way and impressive in an ugly way. It's impressively ugly anyway. Edited March 13, 2017 by Aashenfox

TT350
I've always wondered why modern vehicles don't have high top speeds, relative to their 90s counterparts and their lesser horsepower. 241mph From McLaren F1 627bhp 215mph for Jaguar XJ220 542bhp 213mph Bugatti EB110 560bhp
Ekona
Top speed is useless these days, it's all about how you use the power you've got to go fast round a track. If you gear the car for top speed it blunts acceleration.

Ekona
Plus you need so much more power to go that fast, Chiron has 1500bhp and is limited to 260mph as they can't make road tyres last at those kind of speeds

The f1 botty bashed it for a distance. That and the Ferrari F50 I'd sell my soul to own. If I had one.

Ekona
LHD is their biggest market, hence the P1 being LHD too
