Strudul
What are the legalities on trimming the plate? Do you just have to leave an x mm border?

Sargara
What are the legalities on trimming the plate? Do you just have to leave an x mm border? So long as you dont mess with the letter spacing you should be "ok". I've used fancyplates.com advanced builder in the past to order slimmed down non-standard plates and never had any issues (I've never tried trimming them myself tho). You'll need a private plate though with less characters to make it really work unfortunately. Edited April 13, 2017 by Sargara
Strudul
I think you can get away with a lot of stuff, but apparently it's worse to have an illegal plate than no plate
Killer66
Cutting the blue European badge of the side and trimming the other end made a big difference Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
AliveBoy
The rules are as below: So if you bought A1 AAA your plate could be much smaller than M999 MMM. The number 1 is allowed to be 14mm as it would look weird at 50mm. Just worked it out roughly, A1 AAA all legal, would be a minimum plate of 302mm by 101mm, A999 AAA would be 460mm by 101mm Edited May 2, 2017 by AliveBoy
