Stereo Code needed

Hi - decided to condition and charge my battery - and when I plugged it back in the Bose stereo is asking for the 4 digit code.

 

Does anyone here work at nissan who can get me it please?

 

I contacted the Nissan dealership who supplied it and after me sending in pics of stereo, proof of ownership, V5, driving license, pics of my family etc etc

they then took 10 days to come back to me and advised me they have it but want £30 to give it out over the phone!!!

 

I'd rather replace the head unit.

 

Is anyone able to help please?

Time for a new stereo.

 

The code would have been on a little credit card type thing. If you don't have it, you're screwed basically, as you've seen nissan can do it. I'm surprised they were able to do it without removing the unit from the car, I had heard that would be required in the past (or at least console removal to get at codes on back of stereo), I guess these are stored after all.

 

Just get a new one mate.

Cheers - I thought as much thats why I was hoping someone from Nissan worked here.

 

When I spoke to them they told me I had to get the serial number of the stereo too.... so I removed it and got all the details...then 10 days later they tell me they want £30 for the gesture!

Not sure if it will work for you, but mine keeps coming up 'secure'.

If I turn the radio off, hold the 4 button down, then turn it back on again, it comes on.
