Ukeraa
Annoyingly my sub seems to pop and barely work. I've looked it up and it seems quite common, but I'm an absolute layman and don't want to do anything without a professional. How much would be acceptable to fix? I'm based in the Southend area. I'll check tomorrow if it's a loose wire, but I have a feeling it could be more than that. Any experience with fixing the sub then please feel free to post. Strudul
Got the same issue and never managed to resolve it. Best bet is replacing the sub amp. Or use it as an excuse for a new sound system.
ph 7
it is really easy. The guide is here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/85821-how-to-bose-subwoofer-cutout-fix-amp/ Honestly, 4 bolts to remove the sub, 2 bolts to loosen the amp, unclip the amp, buy the relay, ask a friendly electrician to solder the relay onto the board. Job done. I previously did the folded card solution, but it is really temporary.
Strudul
Relay replacement didn't work for me. Never fixed the pops and only temporarily stopped the cutting out.
Ukeraa
Changed the relay and it worked! Took longer than expected but I'm pleased. The proper test will be tomorrow on an hour and a half drive, but so far it's sounding perfect .
