Infiniti1
Hello everybody, I am looking for the Infiniti G35 with engine VQ35DE. Last time I saw that one, but he has a problem. On the back of the engine can be heard the loudest another strange noise (from 0:50), I recorded video. Someone said it may be a fuel pulsation dumper. It can be this, because it is a lambda error and we can see the "Service Engine Soon" What do you think? If not, it's something serious? The car has driven 140000 km. I'm sorry for the mistakes, but I'm not from England I heard about this fuel pulsation dumper here (from 9:30): Edited February 12, 2017 by Infiniti1
Tricky-Ricky
Difficult to tell from that video, if your holding the camera very close to the engine it will sound loud, however the VQ injectors are often mistaken for pulsation damper noise, as they are pretty noisy. Infiniti1
Do you think, it can be a problem with crankshaft? Engine bearings?
Infiniti1
I found the same problem as me, the sound is only stronger, perhaps because the timing chain is more damaged in this G35. What do you think about this?
Tricky-Ricky
Now that one sounds like a rod bearing to me, different from the first video.
