Hansburger
Maybe this is a better place to continue with the story of my Z. Just a little reminder where it all started almost two years ago. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi! My name is Hans and I'm living in The Netherlands. Hansburger is my nickname and the name from my little photography company/website: http://www.hansburger.nl. Since a couple of months I bought myself a little present. A 2004 Nissan 350Z! It has changed already a little bit... This is the way I bought the car. Dirty, filthy, rusty, scratches, etc, etc, etc... http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/WP_20150609_002.jpg First upgrade! (9J front en 11J rear). http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/WP_20150622_023.jpg Lowered the car a little with Intrax. http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/WP_20150706_002.jpg After 32 hours of work this is the end result... http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11741220_710621982375585_7873749301180495364_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11412057_710621412375642_9167077511492804113_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11411764_710621762375607_8105968781539123155_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/10857220_710620962375687_8454889093122602888_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11741277_710619845709132_8229298815747886861_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11698986_710621582375625_5596383687228997856_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11709689_710621442375639_366724016286177059_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11722603_710619385709178_4528805557420245651_o.jpg More pics: Exclusive CarCare Portfolio Nissan 350Z Time Attack in France. http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11145175_1005392149505006_1558201338290821675_o.jpg In the meanwhile I changed some other items. The gear know was completely worn. So I got myself a new one. http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/WP_20150725_15_49_10_Pro.jpg I think I needed a new airfilter... Old Vs New! http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11951547_10153635218399264_7495977937742902044_o.jpg http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11951685_10153635334059264_4613439227719006191_o.jpg Looks good in blue?? Isn't it?!? http://www.hansburger.nl/hans/11988404_1048000398558186_8282207669361149674_n.jpg I also got two Invidia test pipes fitted. It sounds a little better now. Future plans: - I need new brakes all around. - Two new rear tyres... 285/30 R20 :S - New clutch?!? - Need to do some more repairs to the rear quarters. That rust is really hard to get rid of. - Who knows what else?!? Edited May 11, 2022 by Hansburger
Hansburger
I bought some matching lug nuts from Driftworks... Now I'm going to put it in the garage for the winter. It's going to need some love. To do: - Rusty rear quarters again... - Exhaust is broken somewhere in the middle - Check light (test pipes) - New brakes all around - Engine check-up (it's smokes quite a lot in the higher revs, looks like benzine but I think some oil too) - Radio needs some TLC - Who knows what else?!? Hansburger
The car is doing great at the moment. Done lot's of things last year... - 4 new tires :S - New exhaust: HKS Replica Dual - Fitted the testpipes again - Did some respray work - Replaced a few O2 sensors - Tried to solve the oil problem (little bit better now) - Got my wheels refurbished after a Scotland road trip (three wheels we're dented and one was leaking air) - Tinted the windows all around - Etc etc etc... At the end of June me and my girlfriend decided to drive the North Coast 500. Some photos from this unbelievable road trip. North Coast 500: More than 500 miles of the best the North Highlands has to offer. The route way runs to and from Inverness, venturing round the capital of the Highlands, up the West Coast and back via the rugged north coast. Still in love with Scotland. I wanna go back some time soon...
Hansburger
Got myself a carbon goodie! I only need to get rid of the holes in my bumper. I want a sticker instead of the huge license plate...
Hansburger
She is getting ready! This is where I am right now. Got my car back home. What we've done so far this winter: - New oil MPM 10W50 - New gear oil - New diff oil - Exedy Hyper single clutch/flywheel - New clutch bearing - Complete underbody sealant - Poadercoated several items underneath - Hotchkiss swaybars front and rear - Replaced the catalytic converters (sold the testpipes) I just love how the car handles right now. It's a bit more direct on the steering just mike my 1-Series M and it feels more solid on the streets. The clutch / flywheel is a different story. Really love the feeling, but it's a bit hard when driving around in the village. The engine feels more alive without the excessive wheigt from the original parts. The noise the clutch makes when it's fully warmed up isn't normal. I didn't knew what I heared the first time. But now I love it, sounds so much more racy. Hehe! Can't wait to drive it more often! Things to do: - Mount carbon front lip - respray front bumper But first my wintersports in March. I will see after that how much time and money I've got. Hahah! Bakkums
Damn, that's some bad alignment. Hope that the current setup is aligned a bit better. Would be a expensive car otherwise. Haha.
Sargara
North Coast 500 does look amazing, how did you plan your trip in regards to hotel bookings and how far between each stop did you allow etc? How did you manage that with the tyres, bad alignment perhaps?
Hansburger
I drove 3700 kms in total with the trip. My front tires had plenty of rubber. But somehow I ****ed up the allignment on the Scottish roads. Hahah! North Coast 500 does look amazing, how did you plan your trip in regards to hotel bookings and how far between each stop did you allow etc? We didn't plan that much actually. But my advise is to book your hotels in advance. There are plenty of hotels or B&Bs, but since they are all relatively small they are fast fully booked. I booked the following places during one week. - Boat: Ijmuiden NL --> Newcastle (including stay overnight) - Columba Hotel Inverness - Gairloch Highland Lodge: incluiding a detour trough Isle of Skye that day. It was a bit to much for one day driving. Hehe!) - Rhiconich Hotel: It's better to drive the west coast in two days. If you want to see something. - Seaview Hotel John O'Groats - Pentahotel Inverness: Damn those roads on the east coast! Want to go back! - Dalhousie Castle Hotel Edinburgh - Boat: Newcastle --> Ijmuiden NL (including stay overnight) I want to drive it again, but for sure I'm going to stay for more then one week. Hansburger
A lot to say after one year... Spend my holiday in Slovenia, Croatia and Austria last year with the Z. Did some more modifications... And got two other ons during that time. Haha. Some pics from our holiday. And for now plans have changed... Bought myself a new one. A 2008 HR in Solar Orange. So here's my new car. Nemo!

I had a DE for a couple of years before buying my current HR car.......quite an upgrade isn't it! Intrax suspension.......great choice! I very nearly bought these myself, be good to hear how you find them. Enjoy the new Z!!
Hansburger
Thanks! Upgrade from DE to HR is huge in my opinion! Headquarter from Intrax is just around the corner and I know the owners for 12 or 13 years now. So I just had to buy a set. Haha. They are building my coilovers right as we speak. The setup will be completely custom for my demands.

The Dutch seem to have a lot of know how when it comes to suspension, I went with Motion Control Suspension because of Jerome van Gool being behind it. Being local and friends with one of the best in the business round the corner from you who are making you a bespoke setup is a right result!! You'll have a great setup with them on board.....look forward to seeing them
