Swirl removal and ceramic coating the zed

So... as the title says, I finally got round to the task of swirl removal and ceramic coating the zed. I've been building my new garage, so the car detailing has been put back and back until finally the garage was complete and I had time to invest!

The process:

Clean

Pressure rinse

Snow foam, non-contact wash

Pressure rinse

Wheel bucket, wheel cleaner, wheel woolies, plush mitt. Wheel arches cleaned.

Pressure rinse.

Decontaminate

Two bucket method full car, contact wash.

Tar removal via product, followed by clay bar.

Polish

Two stage polishing, 1st stage - swirl removal with Meg's 105 and microfibre cutting pad.

IPA wipe down.

2nd stage, refinement with Meg's 205 and finishing pad.

IPA wipe down.

Protection

Application of CarPro Cquartz ceramic coating to all glass.

Two coats of CarPro Cquartz ceramic coating to all paintwork.

The paint is soft and quite thin, so overall pleased with the result, some further wet sanding to the bonnet will happen to remove final imperfections but it'll keep me happy for now. Given the thickness of the paint it's original.

Hopefully you enjoy the photos :D
