Shifty6Speed
Hi folks. Finally got the 2nd Titanium Y-pipe to fit to the Zed to complete the system and it's the same as the first piece they sent out. It touches the crossmember and is a very tight fit on the surrounding chassis parts. Has anyone else had this issue? The original has a bit of room to spare but this matches up fine, however due to it being a wider gauge tube, is it going to cause problems or do all aftermarket Y-pipes touch other parts of the cars chassis? I don't want rubbing and rattling! Thanks in advance! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Ekona
Personally I'd just put a bit of heatproof wrap around the bits that touch and be done with it.

Bakkums
It is not normal that en exhaust is rubbing against the car. Are your cats original or do you've got aftermarket ones? Maybe there is the problem. Otherwise I would screw everything lose and try to fit it correctly. PS. Engine mounts are still ok?

Don't know what's causing it 😠Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Ian
My Tomei Ti Y-pipe rattles a bit aswell. I put it down to the increased size of the pipe and because its so light it tends to move around quite a bit. I really need to sort it when I swap out the decats soon, its driving me nuts
Stutopia
My y-pipe just touched the w brace, so we adjusted the w brace with a hammer and made a few MMs extra clearance. Stopped the rattling and it's only deformed very slight (a few mil) in a very small area (a few cm squared).
KyleR
Y pipe should stop a good few inches before the W brace, if it doesn't it might need investigating Of course all aftermarket applications are different, but y pipes are usually the same length.
