gangzoom
http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/uk-car-sales-figures-skewed-retailer-self-registrations-says-insider Some of the current finance/deals are crazy, apparently the mad Golf R deals are back. Something like £250/month without much down payment.
JetSet
Wow, how do McLaren even survive selling only 18 cars a year ? I presume these were cars sold in The U.K, probably sold lots more abroad. Pete

Ekona
I highly doubt McLaren only sold 18 cars in the UK last year. They have 6 showrooms, so that would mean they only sold 3 cars per dealer, or one car every four months. I'm sure they're profitable, but they're not that profitable! Ekona
There's 46 McLarens from the Sports and Super Sports series from 2016 for sale on PH alone right now. A couple are 0 miles, a couple are LHD, but even ignoring those that's well above the 18.
Ekona
McLaren themselves have 16 2016 cars available on their website... Okay, I'll stop now, point made...

I would imagine there is a significant difference in numbers of cars "registered" in the UK, the source of the figures, as opposed to "sold" as well. Interesting figures, I see that Bentley have almost doubled the number registered, as have Jaguar. Some big fat commission cheques there then. G1en
MG 4192 sales. So Thats where sky news got its story from that mental illness is on the rise in the uk.
Ekona
I doubt it's that much though, given that RHD cars are pretty much only ever going to be used here, Japan or Australia. And I can't see someone in Jap or Aus buying a car there and registering it here (or vice versa). Nope, there's no two ways about it, those numbers for McLaren are miles and miles out, which means I'm not sure how far to trust the other figures. Ebized
When I saw that figure for McLaren it was not lone before I saw this article suggesting they had sold more than 1500 cars in 2016. http://en.f1i.com/ne...cord-sales.html Something not right somewhere. leonk
If you go on "How many left", I know it only goes up to 2014, and search Mclaren, there is an interesting entry that says "missing" 504. I kid you not, link below. Where on earth have 504 Mclarens gone? https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=Mclaren Probably a couple registered as a mobility scooter or milkfloat to avoid the congestion charge. Willsy1980
Unless the figures for McLaren are just the amount of failed Kers units Jenson had last season and it's a tax dodge of some sort
