Flashback
I bet a we'll set up FI 350 or 370 would be an interesting race against it.
Jetpilot
All depends on the circuit, if its tight and twisty the clio/megane would still win, if its somewhere like Silverstone, it would be a different story.

True, I was thinking somewhere like Nurburgring.
Aashenfox
Both cars were hooned to the limit and beyond, to me. 2 secs is an age on a track like that, just shows how competent the Megane actually is. Never driven a Megane, but if it's anywhere near as much fun as a Clio then I can see why people would buy one over a 370. £10k less, quicker in all conditions, cracking chassis, more practical... Unless you really want the V6 noise, why get a 370? But yes, I'd always choose an average RWD car over a good FWD car too. I prefer my driven wheels at the rear, more fun to play with. I nearly bought one before I bought the 335. For me I'm afraid FWD is a deal breaker. I really wanted to love it, I know how capable it is, but if it can't go sideways (and maintain it), it's no good to me as a 'fun' car.
