nievelc
A phrase from my youth springs to mind when speaking about mopeds. "like riding a fat bird, great fun till you get found out" :teeth:
xscotteex
And are they sand tyres or something?! They look like they're off a crosser haha
Jetpilot
Yeah, relatively new thing and called fat bikes, great for sand, snow etc they are 26 x 4.0 about twice as wide as a normal mountain bike tyre
Fodder
Nice, looked at a specialised fat boy a couple of years back and the tyres are huge! Although I'm sure you have your reasons but never got the idea of electric assisted bikes myself as I get out to try and lose a bit of weight not put my feet up Please report back with how you get on
Jetpilot
I still have my regular mountain bike that i will use, but about 25-30 miles is my limit offroad, this just adds another dimension to where i can go, i.e travel further afield and take in more sights/tracks, beach and sandy trails and the assist is only there should you want to turn it on, you dont have to use it, so in theory i will be going further but still doing the same exercise. A friend bought one who is a similar fitness to me, he did 45 miles the other day and said he definitely felt it the next day, its very easy to see it as "cheating", but it isnt, you still have to pedal to get the output, i was very sceptical until i had a go on one and then it made sense, well it did to me

GMballistic
^^ That's very similar to a road bike my brothers got. Great bikes and incredibly light weight. Have to say though I was always more of a mountain bike person when I did ride bikes. Much prefer going off road. Have fun on yours Jetpilot (coolest bike I've seen in a long time). Wasso
I bought this before christmas The saddle will require lowering first though!
ioneabee
I bought this before christmas The saddle will require lowering first though! actually not sure if that will help ........... as its stuffed itself so far up my proverbial - I can barely walk combine a barely padded seat thats about 2" wide with tyres pressurised to 100psi combined makes for a erm, solid ride ps ..... note the brand
gangzoom
I was very sceptical until i had a go on one and then it made sense, well it did to me Electric motor + batteries work great together as a form of propulsion don't they Edited December 30, 2016 by gangzoom

Jetpilot
Trust me, if I could use a 2 stroke screaming 250 motorcross bike on the trails i use, I would But if its got a place in the world, i suppose a bike is the one Edited December 30, 2016 by Jetpilot
