Ebized
The following came through from a family member that was aksed to pass it on - anyone know it is genuine? "Thought you should be aware of the following: Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it. If you get an email along the lines of 'Osama Bin Laden Captured' or 'Osama Hanged' DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe. Be considerate and send this warning to all those you know, especially friends, family and contacts. You should be alert during the following days. Do not open any message with an attached file called 'Invitation' regardless of who sent it. This is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it. If you receive a mail called 'Invitation', even though it is sent by a friend, do not open it, but shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst visus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee and at present there is no repair for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept. PLEASE PASS THIS ON"
sinbad
sounds like spam to me, why would an email go around about a virus. McAfee would mention it on there website too.

M13KYF
hoax virus Olympic Torch is a computer virus hoax sent out by e-mail. The hoax e-mails first appeared in February 2006. The "virus" referred to by the e-mail does not actually exist. The hoax e-mail warns recipients of a recent outbreak of "Olympic Torch" viruses, contained in e-mails titled "Invitation", which erase the hard disk of the user's computer when opened. The hoax email further purports the virus to be acknowledged by such reputable sources as CNN, McAfee and Microsoft as one of the most dangerous viruses yet reported. In reality, the "Olympic Torch" virus is non-existent, and generally has not been reported by the organizations quoted. If received, this hoax e-mail can safely be ignored and deleted. steve_b
I go back to machine code and shifting registries left or right, if you do not know about it do not ask as bored me no end. "Basic" could at least do 4-5 steps/execution in one line compare to machine code and four bit words.
