Terryz350
Hi I've had my 350z since August and just fact finding to see what info I can find out My car is a 2008 in ( K51) twilight grey - thanks to the colour post on the club When reading some posts I've stumbled across people talking about DE or HR Would I be right in thinking my car is a HR? and why is it a HR - engine type ? Many thanks Terry
Jp606
Does the engine have two intakes and a bonnet bulge? If so it's a HR, if not it's a DE. HR has a bit more power and internals are quite different to achieve the extra power.
BobbyZ
HR denotes the engine type, yes (High Revolution). Just check the number of intakes, as some people add an HR bonnet with the bulge to non-HR cars.
Terryz350
hi yes it has a double in take and a bonnet bulge so its a HR then - thats what i thought but thank you for confirming it for me are their any issues related to the HR version that i should be aware of cheers Terry
Xelotath
I'm sure others far more knowledgeable than me will be along soon, but the only HR specific I can think of is the are the oil gallery gaskets are a common problem. Do a search on here and there's all the info you'll need
Flex
Does it have the secret switch?
SHEZZA
From what I can see from your pic I believe this is a previous forum car and has the 19" LMGT4 Wheels which were refurbed by the previous owner so take good care of them as they are highly sort after and worth a bob or two.
