Richf
Gutted to hear this Dont think this is that uncommon on 370z's although yours is pretty new cars that have had CSC issues do seem to be much more likely to see gearbox failures down the line, I have seen and heard of a few now Not sure you can do anything moving forwards
nissanman312
Auto or manual? Are you not in a fairly new nismo Edited November 25, 2016 by nissanman312

Kharmon
I know its only done 23,000miles roughly 15plate nismo not sure if the upgraded clutch and lightweight single mass fly wheel has had anything to do with it wearing quicker. Its getting stripped down back end of next week so should have more of and idea what has caused it . I just dont want to fork out for a gearbox for it to happen again so would rather spend the extra cash and get a uprated one if possible ? I had an uprated gearbox yes but mine was an auto , not sure of anyone doing the 370z manuals but they cope with decent power so thats not whats killed it

Kharmon
Bet warranty is defunct after fitting a single mass flywheel I dont get along with my nissan dealer after 6000miles my csc leaked all over my clutch and caused it to slip they refused to replace it as they dont cover clutches so i kicked up a big fuss .The car has got a fair amout of bolt on mods and tuning so i think they will use anything to get out of warranty. Not even thinking about going their as i want it done fast and hassel free its my daily so im on the motorbike for now ! Its going kaiser motors on monday so hopefully have her back in a couple of weeks 😳

Ekona
You could've taken your car to any Nissan dealer, y'know. I mean not now you've done the flywheel, but before you could have. Be interesting to see what the issue is, did you have any symptoms before it happened?
Kharmon
It has to be a nissan performance centre dealer is what nissan told me and their isnt many around ! Im not saying all of them are bad but ive had a few bad experiences with nissan so i just take the car to horsham developments for everything now for a peace of mind

Im not saying all of them are bad but ive had a few bad experiences with nissan so i just take the car to horsham developments for everything now for a peace of mind My local Nissan performance dealer is awful. Even the parking area is so tight it is almost impossible to get in and out of a car so less careful clients are likely to ding doors. A member on here had his bumper damaged in the parking area...a real battle to get them to repair it.Mine also goes to Horsham even with a 3 hour drive. At least our traders care!
