GMballistic
I personally love Japanese cars and consider Nissan to be a legendary brand. One good thing about them is you won't get mistaken for a rich **** who bought a car just because it shows how rich you are. Umhhh, that's not so true nowadays I don't think with some of them. 2017 GTR bog standard before you add any extras is around £78,000+ 2016 Lexus LS Premier around £98,000+ 2016/17 Honda NSX around £130,000+ Either way owning a nice car is never cheap and no matter what you own someone will always be jealous of what you've got no matter how hard you actually did or didn't work for it. BobbyZ
What makes a legendary brand? Motorsport heritage? Iconic sportscars? Great longevity? Engineering brilliance? Tell me something that Nissan hasn't got, other than being Italian or snob value. I concede regarding the current GT-R being overpriced, but only in the context of the value of the badge. In performance terms it's still a relative performance bargain.
BobbyZ
I guess it depends on how you define legendary, but in it's most literal sense I maintain that it is. In petrolhead circles I believe it deserves the title Edited November 18, 2016 by BobbyZ

Funny you should say that, cos I was exactly 8 when they announced the 350Z and I decided I wanted one. I was 27. I had just moved to Greece only a few weeks prior. My wife had got tickets to a car show at the old airport, was quite a big event, walked around a bit, came to Nissan stand, and there she was up on a nice pedestal, looking exotic as hell for 2003. I said there and then 'it shall be mine, oh yes, it shall be mine', didn't think I'd be waiting 13 years, but hey, the best things come to those who wait! Looks somewhat less exotic now, but it was then and remains one of the best cars all around that you can get for the money, can't ask more than that, really, can u? docwra
What makes a legendary brand? Not making Micras. Or naming cars Cherry, Cedric and Gloria. Ten cars eh ......... Lancia Delta Integrale Evo II M6 Ferrari 250GT California Spyder GT Bugatti Type 57SC Range Rover SVAutobiography (after a visit to Overfinch) AC Cobra 427 McLaren P1 Ex D1SL S13 driftcar Aston Martin DB10 Ferrari 288 GTO and this, my eyes started leaking when I saw it last:

docwra
Seeing as Ive got a few minutes ......... The 'grale had to be on there, I remember visiting John Whalley in Chelmsford a few years back and literally going weak at the knees as there were 5 Evo's parked outside, I wouldnt have had the same reaction if it was 5 supermodels The 250GT, CSL and Tipo 57 Ive literally spent over 3 hours combined just staring at, all three are absolute works of art. Ive now seen all 3 remaining SC's including literally bumping into one on a tour of a Rolls Royce specialist, at the time it was the most expensive car in the world and Ive seen the Bimmer in 3 different countries too The P1 is a masterpiece even before it starts the engine, the 288 would be my fast road/track car and Id have to have a street legal driftcar for the bants as well, I have a reputation to uphold
