Fluke
As per the title, when ever I stop at lights, park up with the engine running or travel at low speed (below 20mph) I get cold air coming through the vents. As soon as I start moving again the air coming through the vents warms up. The temp gauge remains constant, and I don't have any issues with the engine overheating. Can anyone tell me what or where I should be looking to fix the problem?
samsniss350z
Have you emptied the system recently in order to replace the antifreeze for the coming winter? Have you bled the system thoroughly? If not you could have small pockets of air that at idle prevents the water flowing through the radiator core. Have you checked the bottom of the radiator for leaks. Your hoses are in good condition i take it? I hope one of the above solves your problem. Good Luck.
Tricky-Ricky
Sounds like an air lock in the heater matrix, i think it may be the highest point in the system.
Fluke
Thanks for the replies. I have ordered some coolant so hopefully I can have a go at bleeding it.
Zeezeebaba
Mine did this after a coolant change, air lock as stated.
