LRF4N
Looking for a set of wheels for the mr2 and found a potential set on driftworks They're advan siena gen 2's, 17x9 et43/48, 3 pc splits Offset is far too weak for what I want Question is- can they be reversed to reduce the offsets? I've asked the seller but he's not sure. anyone able to shed some light?
Jetpilot
If they are 3 piece there is no reason why not, just confirm they are not welded as some are, you could always buy new lips. Gorgeous wheels though, i had set on a Rx7 and a pair here and have my eye out for another pair. You will need to bastardise an allen key to split them though as they are hidden by the centres. LRF4N
Thanks for that Iv heard that some splits can't be reversed due to the lip on the inner side of the dish? If they can be reversed what reduction in offset would you expect?
Jetpilot
Depends on the depth of the face, but you can work it roughly from width minus et
LRF4N
So if they're 17x9 et43 what would they be roughly if they're reversed? Here's a link to the ad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282215708055?redirect=mobile
Jetpilot
All depends on the hub face, message him and ask for a measurement of the rear lip.
BulletMagnet
Maybe it's just me, but Pic 1 of the ad looks great, then pics 2,3,4...the wheel looks different, it seems like the centre is covering the line of nuts that hold the wheel together, then 5 & 6 gain different. is it cos 1, 5 &6 are bigger wheels? Jetpilot
The centres do cover the split rim bolts some what, its the design, thats why I mentioning bastadising an allen key to split them.
